Headteacher - Alaric Govan

Dear parents and carers,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your ongoing support over the academic year and to inform you of some important leadership changes taking place.

I am writing to inform you that I have taken the difficult decision to step back from my role of Headteacher at Chichester High School from Friday 28th June. It has been a privilege to lead Chichester High School and work alongside staff, students and the community over the past 2 years. However, I am delighted that Mrs Lewry and Dr Taylor (Deputy Headteachers) will become acting Co-Headteachers from Monday 1st July. Both Mrs Lewry and Dr Taylor have been pivotal members of the senior leadership team and I have every confidence that they will continue to move the school forwards over the next stage of the journey. They will write to you next week with further details.

Once again, I would like to thank all of you for your support over the past two years. Chichester High School is a very special place to work, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I would also like to thank the school and wider TKAT staff for all of the help, guidance and support during my time as headteacher.
